Monthly carer support groups are run throughout metropolitan Adelaide (and rural areas of South Australia). There are also events and activities which give carers a break from their caring roles and also enable them to connect with other carers.
The organisations below run general and/or targeted dementia programs and support groups for carers.
The Carer Support Network SA consists of the key organisations that provide a range of targeted carer support services to unpaid family carers living in South Australia.
Carer Support supports carers living in the south and east metropolitan areas of Adelaide.
Uniting Communities supports carers in rural north and west country regions.
Carers and Disability Link supports carers living in the Barossa Valley and surrounding districts, Yorke Peninsula, Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula.
Carers SA supports carers living in rural south and east country regions including Eyre Peninsula, northern country, River Murray Mallee, south east country and the western metropolitan area.
Carers SA Western Metro supports carers living in the west metropolitan areas of Adelaide.
Northern Carers Network supports carers living in the north metropolitan council areas of Gawler, Playford, Salisbury, Tea Tree Gully and Pt Adelaide/Enfield.
SA Country Carers supports carers living in country areas of South Australia, extending across Pt Wakefield and light regional councils to the district councils of Mallala, Clare and Gilbert Valley.
